Objectives

Ensure stakeholder involvement and create awareness:

 through advocacy, health education and social mobilization activities to promote the vision and mission of ERS among children, youth, adults, pregnant women, aged, communities and special populations as a pivot to living quality and longer lives and an important tool to building a healthy nation

Initiate, partner and implement interventions:

to bridge the gaps of nutritional malpractices, eating disorders, food-blood/food-drug incompatibilities, environmental pollution/sanitation and also ensure availability and accessibility to foods, water, sanitation and oral hygiene during disease outbreak and disasters.

Provide care, support and other services:

to reverse and abate the harmful effects of nutritional malpractices, eating disorders, food-blood/food-drug incompatibilities and environmental pollution among the affected populations.

Conduct researches:

relating to nutritional practices, nutritional deficiencies, environmental health, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) thereby adding knowledge to public health research in Nigeria and other African countries.

Training, capacity building and empowerment:

of various member initiativesfor effective program implementation in line with ERS vision and mission

Collaborate, partner and network with local:

national and international agencies and organizations in line with the vision, mission and set objectives of Eat Right Society.

Ensure availability of fresh organic foods:

 through partnerships, networking and collaborations thereby improving accessibility to healthy eating

Provide care, support and other services:

to special populations in the management of physiological and disease conditions through nutritional counselling and follow up

Educate and empower children, youth, adults, pregnant women, aged, communities and special populations on:

  • Balanced diet
  • Eating disorders
  • Food-Blood type compatibility
  • Food-Drug Interactions
  • Special diet for disease conditions
  • Utilization of locality available foods to live quality and healthy lives
  • Exclusive breastfeeding
  • Immunization
  • Environmental Sanitation and pollution
  • Consumers rights and protections
  • Drug misuse and abuse
  • Fitness, mental and stress management
  • Healthy practices (Water, Sanitation, Hand Washing and Oral hygiene)
